Gentle, precise care focused on the upper cervical spine.
Upper Cervical Chiropractic is Symmetry’s core specialization: a low-force, individualized approach centered on the relationship of the upper neck and the rest of the musculoskeletal system.
Why Upper Cervical is different
Gentle
Many Upper Cervical methods use highly specific, low-force corrections rather than forceful twisting or cracking.
Precise
Care is based on individualized assessment and technique-specific analysis rather than a one-size-fits-all adjustment.
Thoughtful
Dr. Josh takes time to understand symptoms, history, goals, and findings before recommending care.
What is the upper cervical spine?
The upper cervical region includes the top two vertebrae of the neck, commonly called the atlas (C1) and axis (C2). Upper Cervical Chiropractic focuses particular attention on this area while considering the patient as a whole.
The goal of the website is to explain the approach clearly without implying that a single spinal finding is the cause of every health problem.
Evidence-informed perspective
Manual therapy and spinal manipulation have evidence supporting selected musculoskeletal complaints, including some neck-pain and headache presentations. Upper-cervical-specific research is more limited, so Symmetry will avoid broad systemic-disease claims and guaranteed outcomes.
